How does a feminist justify turning her back on this?

Nearly a third of the deaths that occurred in Gaza during the Israel “offensive” were women and children.  The estimates of  nearly 1300 civilian casualities would put the number of women and children at about 400, with half that number applying to children.  Approximately 200 children died during the three-week “operation”.  There are no statistics for unborn children who died from trauma, hypothermia, hunger, or even the death of the mother.  According to the UN Population Fund, about 170 women give birth every day in Gaza.  During the violence, many of these women had no access to health care. The stories and photos coming out of Gaza are horrifying.  The lack of food, shelter, fuel, clothing, clean water, and medicine make it likely that more women and children will die.

I have seen no numbers about the wounded women and children, but they are likely to be a significant portion of the approximately 5,ooo who are being reported as needing medical care.
